About us
Abbie Parkinson
Abbie is a professional actor whose work includes the BBC drama Hope Street, the NI Screen-supported short film Bootlickers ("Abigail Parkinson is smashing in the lead" - Louise Penn), and on stage as 'Dervla' in Togetherness, a comedy by Jonathan Hughes (The Young Offenders) alongside a growing career across television, film and theatre (most of which we can't yet talk about!). She has recently wrapped filming on a new BBC project and is set to begin her next film later this year. Having trained at the Lyric Drama Studio in Belfast, Second City in Chicago and the Manchester School of Acting, Abigail has built her career through a combination of professional training and real industry experience. Alongside acting, she has grown an online community of more than 300,000 actors and creatives by sharing honest, practical advice about breaking into the industry. Passionate about making the profession more accessible, Abigail co-created 'The Ultimate Guide to becoming a Working Actor' to give aspiring actors the guidance, confidence and industry insight she wishes she'd had at the start of her own career.
